Background Information:
This specialized panel includes a total of six enzymatic assays for poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) superfamily members, including PARP1, PARP2, PARP3, PARP5A (TNKS1), PARP5B (TNKS2), and PARP7. These six PARP subtypes play a crucial role in DNA repair (PARP1, PARP2, PARP3), Wnt signaling pathway (PARP5A, PARP5B), and innate immune regulation (PARP7), which serves as an emerging therapeutic strategy against various cancer types. Notably, selective PARP inhibitors are highly engaged in the treatment of BRCA-mutated ovarian, breast, and prostate cancers as well as advanced solid tumors. By screening this panel, potential selective PARP inhibitors can be evaluated and identified.
