Background Information:
This specialized panel includes a total of seven enzymatic assays for ectonucleotide pyrophosphatase/phosphodiesterase (ENPP) family members, including ENPP1, ENPP2 (also known as autotaxin), ENPP3, ENPP4, ENPP5, ENPP6, and ENPP7. ENPP1-7 involve in key biological activities such as nucleotide (ENPP1, ENPP3, ENPP4, and ENPP5) and phospholipid (ENPP2, ENPP6, and ENPP7) signaling, which are highly associated with several diseases such as fibrosis, cancers, metabolic disorders, and inflammation. By screening this panel, potential selective ENPP inhibitors can be evaluated and identified.
